Mother's Day and More!

This has been one of the best couple of weeks ever.  For many reasons... First, Seth and Amanda came to visit on Sunday, May 2nd, on their way back to Idaho.  They are our great friends from California.  I met them in a college class, and we became buds.  We lost touch until about a month ago, when Amanda and I found each other on good ol' Facebook.  We were thrilled to see them and their two beautiful kids.  After we visited for a while, Amanda told us that she was baptized 2 years ago!  Seth baptized her.  I was so happy, I just bawled!  They plan to be sealed as a family soon.  Yay!
Chanel and Bella played so well together.  It was so fun.
We had to run off to church, but we're so glad we saw the Perry family!

Lisa and I brought the kids up to see Grandma Thornock while she stayed with Mom for a few days.  When we arrived, we saw Mom driving the truck, so we pulled up and rolled down the windows to say hi.  Grandma T was in the backseat, enjoying the ride!  They were on their way to feed the horses, and so we joined them.  It was a beautiful day outside.  Lovely!

This is Lisa with Gma...

Here are the two sweetest women in the world...

Briggs and Dax always find an adventure at Grandma's house...

The two crazies!!! Nelly and Joseph

And now, we pause to look at the most gentle, sweet, quiet, and lovey baby ever...Max!

Shandrea and her sister Maria came to visit us on Friday night.  Shandrea prepared to receive her endowment, and came to Utah to do that...which was a thrill for us.  It was interesting how fast I felt so comfortable with them.  Jonathan met Shandrea and Mike (he was back in Kansas, planning on coming with all the family in July or so) on his mission in NC.  Shandrea was a member, Mike wasn't.  They hit it off, and eventually moved.  Sometime in there, Mike was baptized.  They recently decided that they want to be sealed as a family in the temple.  Hooray!!!  Maria, Shandrea's sister, lives in Springville.  She was her escort at the temple on Saturday morning.  Jonathan and I waited for the session to begin, and were asked to be the witness couple.  It was awesome, because I got to sit right next to Maria and Shandrea!!!  The Salt Lake Temple has a lot of significance to us, because we were married there.  But it also holds so much history and power.  When I first went down the stairs to the locker room to change, I could not hold back my tears.  It has been a long time since I had attended a (complete) session...remember, I passed out last time?  Ya.  Not a great time...but this was perfect!  All went well...no passing out!  But most importantly, Shandrea received her endowment.  Seeing her joy and gratitude was very humbling.  She is a rock.  We love her, and are so happy for her family!
This pic above is Jonny, Shandrea and Maria.  Below, it's me and Jonny with Shandrea.  What a cute girl, huh?  We can't wait to see the rest of her family this summer!!

This is us after the temple.  We had to run home fast, because I'm a nursing momma!  No time to hang out after! :-(

Here are our 3 kids!  Crazy huh?

Max is one precious boy!  He took 2 bottles from my mom while we were at the temple on Saturday.  Last night, he drank a bottle of formula!  No problem!  What a champ.  I feel that he's easy to help his mom stay sane!!!  Who knows what's to come...but for now, all is well!
Mother's Day was fabulous!!!  Jonathan let me SLEEP IN TO 11 AM!!!!!  It was just what I needed.  Then, he gave me cute clothes, and a very sweet card.  Max slept through church, which allowed me to enjoy church!  Briggs gave a great talk in primary.  He read it by himself!!!  He's getting so big.  When I got home, Jonathan made me dinner...it was delish!!!  I love my hubby so much.  He loves being a dad and a husband, and shows us every day that we are #1.  Thank you, honey!!
